Narita Airport The Airport That Could've But Didn't?

!±8± Narita Airport The Airport That Could've But Didn't?

I don't know why but I expected more from Narita Airport outside Tokyo. I had such a good time in Japan when I was here in July as they have so many fun things to play with like the self service restaurants where you go to a vending machine and order and pay and then they deliver it to you. I thought for sure that Narita would have all kinds of fun electronics and gizmos you would think that they would have an arcade or pachinko parlor or maybe a little electric city. The only thing they have to play with is the toilets which I am wondering about how they can hit you square in the part that needs to be cleaned do they have a camera and somebody who aims the stream. The electronics they do have for sale are certainly neat they just aren't the super cool stuff I was expecting like a 100 meter TV or a virtual Ginza tour complete with night clubs and interactive hostess that tell corny jokes something anything off the wall like that that the Japanese are famous for producing. I think that they missed a good branding venue here.

The food choices were really limited as well at Narita if I was going to make a suggestion it would be to put in a 7 -11 or one of their famous department stores like Nobo or whatever it is called that have every thing a mad engineer could fantasies about making like a fork spoon and knife combination with serrated edge in one, I cried when I lost that. The food choices there are great from dried octopus to 50 flavors of popcorn my favorite sea weed a big seller in Hawaii as well really not kidding.

I wish more airports would be like Bangkok and Singapore and let you connect up for free if you have your own laptop. Singapore goes way out of there way to give you free internet on computers they supply as well as well as free broadband and the smart guys that they are they stick them right next to the coffee vendors that is dialed in to what this consumer likes. Narita provides a table for every thousand travelers with electric plug in which have the longest lines right behind the toilets, pardon the pun. They sell the internet by the day for about who wants to pay for all day when you know that you are going to be flying out in 30 minutes. They should have an option so you can buy it by the hour If they had I probably wouldn't have wrote this and you would still be wandering around Narita trying to find a Starbucks.
